I worked with Aurelia for the 2018/2019 school year, at a school in Wembley as a first-year teacher. Coming from Alberta, Canada, I met so many Canadians, and got to experience a brand new educational environment that truly widened my perspective on teaching and expanded my worldview. I travelled ten countries in my short year, and met friends I will have for life. Almost two school years later, I am continuing to work at a private school in Calgary, Alberta as a Grade 3 teacher. I obtained the new position while still in England, and began in the fall of 2019. I know that my international experience spoke for itself through the interview process, and that it has helped to shape my developing teaching philosophy. Now I am settled in Canada, but hope to continue to travel Europe in the summers!
