As the plane descended into the airport my stomach was filled with knots. The constant thought of "Am I making a mistake?" kept flashing through my mind like a neon light. But with my parents sat beside me I couldn't help but pretend to be strong. Little did I know that I would not have to pretend for long.  My very first 24 hours in Bradford was filled with meeting new Canadians, flat viewings and seeing all the best spots that the city had to offer! It was these 24 hours spent with Julie and the Aurelia teachers that made me start to feel relaxed. It is because of her that I stopped having to pretend that I was brave; because she gives you the strength. 

I have been in England now for 2 years and I am looking forward to renewing my Visa to include a number of more years.  I will be honest there have been days where I think "why on earth am I doing this?"  But then there are those moments where you begin to realize that the reason you chose this route was the desire to seek  an understanding of the world and to develop yourself as an educator. I have no regrets with choosing Aurelia Education as my agency and guide to the UK. They are a company that prides themselves on a family like dynamic and therefore take great efforts to ensure that their teachers are taken care of.
